SERIES: BLOODY MIDGETS

The Half Pint Brawlers are an eccentric group of self-proclaimed "Bloody Midgets", who travel the world entertaining crowds with their bizarre stage performances.

This essay, photographed in January of 2009 features Half Pint Brawlers founder "Puppet the Psycho Dwarf" and wrestler, "Little Kato".

Half Pint Brawlers trainee, Turtle, watches as Puppet paces back and forth, backstage, before the show. Puppet is meticulous in his pre-show preparation.

As a build-up to the main event, Kato draws two young women onto the stage and gives one of them a lapdance.

With a beer in one hand, Puppet uses his free hand to show his displeasure of a comment from a rowdy crowd of hecklers.

In an act to increase their income and get the crowd hyped, the group holds an impromptu auction. The highest bidder would have the pleasure of affixing a twenty dollar bill to Puppet's bare scrotum with a staplegun. The winning bid was $1000, cash.

Halfway through his stunt, Puppet is visibly distressed. He beckons a nearby bartender for assistance and throws up in a trash can.

Still shaken up from his pre-show stunts, Puppet must regroup for his wrestling bout with friend, Kato.

Kato prepares for a leg drop during a wrestling bout against Puppet.

Puppet steps on Kato's face during the wrestling finale.

The build up acts are entertaining, but the crowd came to see wrestling midgets.

Puppet body slams Kato during the final match.

Backstage, following their bout, Puppet divvies up the night's earnings amongst the group members. "This money is gonna buy me some trim," yells Kato. "You don't need to pay for it, girls love wrestling midgets!"
